Submitting Change Requests

In the Service Portal, you can request a change to a deployed service. A few examples of what you can do with a change request might inlcude:

  • decommission a database
  • change the owner of an auto scaling group
  • add more memory, CPU or storage resources to a VM

To submit a change request:

  1. Select a service.
  2. In the Action menu, select Requests.
  3. Select a change request from the list.
  4. Complete the form and click OK.

Note: If you schedule the change request at a specific time or in the service's maintenance window, you can delete the scheduled task if necessary. See Deleting scheduled tasks for more information.

Hot/Cold Resource Changes for Each Virtualization Platform

Not Supported indicates that this type of resource change is supported by the cloud platform, but it's not supported in the Service Portal.
